Name :
Human RELT Protein, ECD (Extracellular Domain), Fc-fusion, Biotinylated, Recombinant
Description :
RELT (receptor expressed in lymphoid tissues) is a single-pass, type I transmembrane glycoprotein in the TNF receptor superfamily (TNFRSF19L). RELT is primarily expressed in hematopoietic tissues with highest levels in spleen, lymph node, thymus, peripheral blood leukocytes, bone marrow and fetal liver. It is also found in in leukemias and lymphomas. RELT has a 137 amino acid (aa) extracellular domain containing one TNFR cysteinerich repeat and a 247 aa cytoplasmic region that lacks a death domain. The ECD of RELT is most closely related to that of TROY (TNFRSF19) and OX40 (TNFRSF4). RELT has been shown to selectively bind the adaptor protein TNF receptor-associated factor 1 (TRAF1). Overexpression of RELT can activate the NF-kB, p38 and JNK signaling pathways and induces apoptosis. RELT is also capable of stimulating T-cell proliferation in the presence of CD3 signaling. However RELT does not bind any of the TNF superfamily ligands. Two related transmembrane proteins, RELL1 and RELL2, have been identified. Both RELL1 and RELL2 can interact with RELT and may modulate its signaling activity.
